The Owls will host four home meets this season, beginning on Jan. 20
PHILADELPHIA – Temple women's gymnastics will compete in 12 regular season meets during the 2023 season, announced by head coach Josh Nilson on Thursday.
"We are pleased with our schedule this year. It is demanding and exciting. We see 20 different teams in the regular season, four of those competitions include Big 10 teams, four include future ACC teams, and we are competing in NY on podium late in February. This will be an exciting and historic year for Temple Gymnastics. Make sure you tune in! Our opening competition is the second annual Keystone Classic- hosted in Pittsburgh at the Fitzgerald Field House Jan. 6 at 7 p.m." expressed Nilson.
Temple is coming off a 2022 season breaking school records on the vault, beam, and overall team score, additionally tying the floor team score. Individually, several Owls broke personal best scores but were highlighted by Julianna Roland breaking the school's vault record and Brooke Donabedian tying the floor record. In addition, the team made a tremendous run through the EAGL Championship, where they finished in third place, while tying for the fourth-highest score in school history.
