Women’s Cross Country Prepared for Mid-Atlantic Regionals

PHILADELPHIA - The Temple women's cross country will compete in the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Championships Friday, Nov. 11th. Due to athlete availability, the Owls will not be sending a full five athlete roster. Temple will instead send four runners. The gun in set to go off for the 6k race at 10:30 a.m. at the Penn State Golf Courses in University Park, Pa.

Previewing the Owls
> The Owls placed tenth at the AAC Championships in Tulsa last week.
> Laura Nicholson headlined all for the Cherry & White, earning All-Conference honors as she placed 14^th place. Elvira Bredin also impressed, finished 21^st. Bredin placed second out of all freshmen who competed.

The Field
> The NCAA Mid-Atlantic regional will be one of the largest meets Temple will compete in this year, with 31 schools sending participants.
> Last season, the Cherry & White ran strong with a 12^th place finish in a field of 27. Michelle Joyce became only the second Owl in program history to qualify for nationals.
