Tarriyonna Gary Named to Big 5 Weekly Honor Roll

PHILADELPHIA – Following a pair of strong performances last week, Temple women's basketball shooting guard Tarriyonna Gary was named to the Big 5 Weekly Honor Roll as announced Monday. This is Gary's first time earning a weekly honor at Temple.
Gary had a fantastic pair of games from beyond the arc. The shooting guard went 3-6 from deep and 4-8 from the field while contributing 11 points and six rebounds in Wednesday's game against St. John's. She truly shined against No. 24 Villanova on Sunday, scoring a career-high 23 points while scorching the net with 8-10 from the field and 7-9 from three. Her seven three pointers tie for third all-time on the Temple single-game chart and is the best single-game three-point shooting percentage of any women's basketball player at Temple since 2015 (>5 three-pointers attempted). She averaged 17 points and 4.5 rebounds in two games last week.
The Owls will be back in action Wednesday for a Big 5 battle against Saint Joseph's.
