Women’s Basketball to Broadcast 2022-23 Season on the Varsity Network App
11.6.22 | Women's Basketball
PHILADELPHIA – For the first time in program history, every Temple Women's Basketball game will be broadcast on live radio. The games, starting with the season opener at No.24 Princeton (Nov. 7, 5 pm) will stream on the Varsity Network App and can also be accessed via Owlsports.com.
"This is tremendous and much-needed exposure for Temple women's basketball," said Vice President and Director of Athletics Arthur Johnson. "Coach Richardson is building a great program here and we want to provide our fanbase access to all our games."
Ray Dunne, a 2022 Temple University graduate, will handle play-by-play duties for the games.
"I'm so excited to be able to be a part of what Diane Richardson and her staff are building," Dunne said. "Getting to call games for Temple is an incredible opportunity and I look forward to what we can do with these broadcasts."
Dunne will also host a half hour pregame and a half hour postgame show to bookend each broadcast.
The pregame show will feature four segments. Head coach Diane Richardson will be featured on one segment to discuss the upcoming game and give insight into the program. Another segment will feature an interview with an assistant coach. All broadcasts will start approximately a half hour before tip-off.
