Tiarra East Named to AAC and Big 5 Weekly Honor Roll

PHILADELPHIA – Temple wing Tiarra East has been named to the AAC and Big Weekly Honor Roll for the week of 12/11. This is the second time this season East has been named to both honor rolls after earning a spot the first week of the season, she was previously named AAC All-Rookie at the conclusion of last season.
East had the best week of her collegiate career, averaging 24 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 4.0 steals per game. The wing scored a career-high 25 points, including 10 in the fourth quarter, Monday against La Salle to go with nine rebounds and another career-high in five steals, the most of any Temple player in any game this season. She followed up her performance by dropping a team-high 23 points, six boards, and three steals Sunday against Penn.
The Owls will be back in action this Friday as they host former Atlantic-10 rival Duquesne. The 7 p.m. match will be streamed on ESPN+. Tickets are available on Owlstix.com.
