Gourdine Earns Second Straight AAC Freshman of the Week

IRVING, Texas - The American Athletic Conference announced today that Temple's Aniya Gourdine and Mia Davis earned weekly honors for their performances last week. Gourdine was named Freshman of the Week while Davis was named to the Honor Roll.

Gourdine recorded her second triple-double of the season in a win against Tulsa by scoring 11 points, grabbing a career-high 15 rebounds, while dishing out 10 assists. In Temple's only other game this week, Gourdine recorded eight points, four rebounds, and three assists against USF.

Davis led the Owls in scoring once again this week, scoring 21 points on 8-9 shooting against Tulsa. In total, Davis scored 35 points (17.5ppg) and grabbed 10 rebounds (5.0 rpg) in the Owls' two games last week.

Gourdine was also named to the Big 5 Honor Roll.
