PHILADELPHIA – Head Women's Gymnastics Coach Josh Nilson announced the addition of Angelina Hogan to the 2022 Temple Gymnastics signing class.

Angelina Hogan 2022 Gymnastics Signee1
Angelina Hogan | Plano, Texas | WOGA Gymnastics

Hogan has been a Level 10 gymnast since late 2017 and trains with WOGA Gymnastics in Plano, Texas. In that time, the Plano native qualified for nationals after winning the Region 3 Championship on the uneven bars. Hogan has achieved six top-five performances in the all-around, including picking up a first-place finish at the Paul Ruggeri Invitational in 2018. Hogan’s personal best score (37.525) in the all-around came within the past year, April 15, 2021, when she finished in third place at the Level 9/10 Region 3 Championships.

Angelina has achieved the most on the bars in her young career in the four individual events. Hogan put together the best score of her career, 9.725, during that championship performance. Additionally, she has nine other top-five finishes on the bars as a Level 10. The Texas native has two career top-five performances on the vault, including a victory at the Ruggeri Invite when she posted a career-high 9.325. Hogan added her fifth top-five finish on the beam during the Simone Biles Invitational in late January when she reset her career-high to 9.475. Additionally, Angelina has racked up 10 top-five performances during her career on the floor, including finishing for a tie of second place at the Ruggeri when she scored a career-high of 9.5.

Angelina is a very polished athlete from Texas. She has a very artistic flare to her gymnastics. She also brings high energy, and passion for the sport of gymnastics. We expect her to make an immediate impact on our lineups next year. When she arrived on campus we knew she was a perfect fit for our team. Welcome to the Temple Family Angelina!
