Men’s Basketball Looks to Stay Hot with Saturday Home Game Against Tulsa

PHILADELPHIA - Temple will be looking to post its sixth win in seven games when it hosts Tulsa Saturday (2 p.m./ESPN+/1210 AM WPHT) at the Liacouras Center. The Owls will also welcome back members of it 1990-91 and 2000-01 NCAA Elite Eight teams at the game with the ceremony at halftime of the game.
Temple (12-7, 5-3 AAC) posted its first-ever win at Tulsa, 69-64, on Jan. 12. Nick Jourdain led the way in that game, scoring a career-high 23 points for his mother's birthday present to lift the Owls over the Golden Hurricane (7-13, 1-8 AAC).
SCOUTING TEMPLE
> Temple has won five of its last six games with its lone defeat coming at SMU.
> Damian Dunn leads the Owls in scoring (15.9 ppg/6th AAC) and free throw percentage (92-108, .852/3rd AAC) while ranking second in assists (39) and third in steals (19).

> Zach Hicks (6.1 ppg), who set a school record with 10 threes vs. Delaware State, leads the Owls with 31 three-pointers. He has been red-hot of late from deep, making 25 of his treys over the last eight games.

> Tulsa enters the game having lost eight of its last nine games with the lone win in the stretch a 76-45 home victory over South Florida.
> Sam Griffin and Jeriah Horne lead the Golden Hurricane in scoring, averaging 16.2 and 16.1 respectively. Horne also pulls down 6.9 rebounds a game to lead the team and rank third in the conference.
> Besides Griffin and Horne, Tulsa is expected to start Darien Jackson (8.5 ppg), LaDavius Draine (3.5 ppg) and Nikita Konstantynovsky (1.9 ppg).
> Tulsa handles the ball well, ranking 89th in the country for fewest turnovers (246), 45th for turnover margin (2.9), 55th for turnovers forced (15.2), and 97th for turnovers per game (12.3).
