PHILADELPHIA – Temple women's tennis (6-4) had an extremely strong showing on Friday afternoon, falling just short to Penn (9-6), by a final score of 4-3. Penn, who entered the match ranked No. 73 in the latest ITA team rankings, also had highly ranked individual performers including Iulia Bryzgalova who clocked in at No. 96 in singles play, while Bryzgalova and partner Marjia Curnic took the No. 41 doubles spot.

After securing a big win over Delaware on Thursday, the Owls kept their momentum going as they started off the match against the Quakers. The Cherry and White found the team doubles point after posting wins in the No. 2 and No. 3 positions.
The Cherry and White fought hard in singles play, earning wins from Yining Tian and Evie Wei in the No. 5 and No. 6 spot, but the Quakers picked up points from the first four positions to come away with the 4-3 advantage.
