HAMPTON, VA. – Temple men's tennis (7-4) posted a dominant victory over Hampton (2-11) on Friday afternoon, sweeping the Pirates, 7-0.

"We played extremely well today, especially when you consider that it was our first time playing outside this year," head coach Steve Mauro said. "We had to adjust to the different playing surfaces and weather, but overall we had a great showing in both singles and doubles play and we are excited to carry that into our match tomorrow at ODU."

The Owls will return to action in less than 24 hours, traveling to nearby Norfolk, Va., to take on No. 60 Old Dominion at 1 p.m.

- The Owls wasted no time in doubles play, securing wins from all three pairs to take the 1-0 advantage into singles competition.
- The Cherry and White continued their momentum in singles play, as all six Owls earned two-game victories over the Pirates to claim the remaining six points and leave Hampton scoreless.
