Golf Travels to South Carolina for Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate

AIKEN, S.C. – After an eighth-place finish in the opening spring tournament, the Wexford Intercollegiate, the Temple golf team travels back to South Carolina for the 25th Annual Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate this Monday and Tuesday (March 7-8). The 15-team event will be held at the Palmetto Golf Club on a par-70, 6,617-yard course. The tournament will consist of 36 holes on Monday and 18 holes on Tuesday.
Previewing the Owls
> Junior co-captain Conor McGrath, who leads the Owls with a 70.35 stroke average, had the best fall of any Temple golfer in school history. He led the Owls and tied for 13th overall with a two-over 218 at the Wexford Plantation Intercollegiate.
> Sophomore Graham Chase is second on the team with a 72.53 stroke average and he was third (+7) for the Owls at the Wexford Plantation Intercollegiate.
> Freshman Ethan Whitney (73.76) and senior co-captain Dawson Anders (73.88) look to bounce back from tough outings at the Wexford Plantation Intercollegiate, as they played solid golf in the fall.
> Junior Buddy Hansen (74.07) was second (+6) for the Cherry and White at the Wexford Plantation Intercollegiate and looks to build momentum off from his spring opener.

> The tournament is hosted by USC Aiken. The other teams in the field are Charleston Southern, Dartmouth, Francis Marion, Furman, Gardner Webb, High Point, Presbyterian, Samford, South Carolina, VCU, Virginia, Virginia Tech, and Wofford.
