Rowing Set to Host Murphy Cup Regatta This Saturday

PHILADELPHIA – The Temple women's rowing team is set to host the 39th Memorial Murphy Cup Regatta on Saturday, April 2nd. The Owls will be competing in the Varsity 8, Second Varsity 8, Varsity 4, Second Varsity 4, and Novice 8 events.
FORMAT
> Racing takes place on Temple's home course on the Schuylkill River. The event will include heats in the morning, starting at 9:00 a.m. and finals in the afternoon, beginning at 12:30 p.m.
THE COMPETITION
>There are 21 women's teams competing in the race. The field includes Cabrini, Colgate, Delaware, Drexel, Fairfield, George Mason, Georgetown, Jefferson, La Salle, Lafayette, Lehigh, Loyola MD, Marist, NY Maritime, Old Dominion, St. Josephs, Temple, U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, UMass, Washington College, and West Virginia University.
