Golf Returns to Action at Princeton Invitational

PRINCETON, N.J. – After a 17-day layoff, the Temple Golf team returns to action this Saturday at the 34th annual Princeton Invitational (April 9-10). The 15-team event will be held at the Springdale Golf Club on a par-71, 6,456-yard course. The tournament will consist of 36 holes on Saturday and 18 holes on Sunday.
Previewing the Owls
> Junior co-captain Conor McGrath, who leads the Owls with a 71.96 stroke average, had the best fall of any Temple golfer in school history. He has a team-best four Top 10 finishes this season.
> Sophomore Graham Chase ranks second on the team with a 73.65 stroke average while senior co-captain Dawson Anders (74.04) and freshman Ethan Whitney (74.31) rank third and fourth, respectively.
> Junior Buddy Hansen (74.91) rounds out the team's starting five.
> The Owls last competed at the Princeton Invitational in 2019, placing third in the 13-team field that year.
The Field
> The tournament is hosted by Princeton, which will have two teams in the field. The other teams in the field are Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Georgetown, Harvard, Howard, Penn, Rider, Saint Joseph's, Seton Hall, and Yale.
> The Owls are grouped with Cornell and Penn and will tee off at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday. Temple will tee off for the second round at 1:15 p.m. on Saturday.
