Men's Tennis' Delmas and Frumholz Named PhillySIDA Academic All-Area

PHILADELPHIA - Temple men's tennis players Marin Delmas and Thibault Frumholz were honored for their academic and athletic performance as they were named two of the six student-athletes on the 2022 PhillySIDA Academic All-Area Men's Tennis Team. The team is nominated and voted on by the sports information offices of 30 area institutions from the Philadelphia metropolitan area.
In order to be eligible for Academic All-Area honors, an athlete must be in at least his or her second year at the institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 or better.
Delmas is coming out of the 2022 season ranked No. 10 in the ITA Atlantic Region, finishing 18-7 overall, including a 13-5 dual performance and 5-2 tournament showing. The junior also partnered with Louis Gorregues, going 9-5 in dual play and 10-2 in tournament play for a 19-7 overall mark. In his career, Delmas is sixth all-time with 54 career overall wins, and eighth in school history with 30 wins (30-9) in dual singles, and tied for sixth with 24 doubles wins (24-9). Academically, the Lorient, France native is a two-time All-AAC Academic member and currently majors in finance.
Frumholz posted a 16-10 overall singles record in 2022, while finishing with a 10-6 dual singles play, in which tied him for the second most wins on the team. In doubles, the Strasburg, France native posted a 13-11 overall mark with parter Leo Raquin. Academically, Frumholz studied mechanical engineering throughout his time with the Owls, while being named a two-time All-AAC Academic member, a Chi Alpha Sigma Student-Athlete Honor Society member, and a Temple Trustee 10 Recipient.
Joining Delmas and Frumholz on this year's Academic All-Area Men's Tennis Team is Performer of the Year Hannibal Borg (Thomas Jefferson), as well as Haverford's George Jiang, USciences' Oscar Serra, and João Sousa of Chesnut Hill.
