PHILADELPHIA - Kevin Copp, Associate AD/Video Production, has announced the promotion of Kevin Hession to Assistant Athletics Director, Broadcast Technology & Video Production as well as the addition of Jack Lynch as Live Production Coordinator.Â
"These staff changes represent what an incredibly exciting moment this is for our video production team here at Temple," Copp said. "Over the past three years, Kevin Hession's work as both a producer and engineer has truly been transformative for Temple, and I'm incredibly gratified to see him take on these well-deserved additional responsibilities as an Assistant Athletic Director. Additionally, we are all excited to welcome Jack as a full-time member of our team after four years working with us as a student intern. Together, they will help advance our ESPN and in-venue productions to the next level."
Hession is responsible for executing the production of Temple Athletics broadcasts for ESPN and in-venue video boards at the Liacouras Center, McGonigle Hall and the Temple Sports Complex. In his new role, he will oversee the production of ESPNU television broadcasts originating from Temple's on-campus control room and have greater oversight of the athletics department's IT infrastructure and technology efforts. Hession joined Temple Athletics as Director of Video Production/Broadcast Engineer in November 2019.
Lynch will be a part of Temple's video production team which is responsible for all ESPN live broadcasts as well as in-venue video board shows at Liacouras Center, McGonigle Hall, and Temple Sports Complex. In particular, he will serve as the lead producer for Temple field hockey on ESPN+. Lynch worked with the department as a student intern for four years prior to being hired full-time. As an intern, he worked lead positions on live ESPN+ broadcasts in Temple's newly renovated control room as well as researching home and away team's storylines and statistics to use during broadcasts.
