The Owls finished the 2022 season with a 5-8-3 overall record, including a 2-6-0 conference performance, highlighted by notable wins over a highly competitive Houston squad and Cincinnati. As Bochette enters his third year at the helm of the program, alongside the talented coaching staff of Claire Scanlan, Maria Loyden, Travis Regner and Erin Theiller, the Cherry and White look to continue to move the needle, working towards growth and a culture of success.

"As we're approaching our staffs third competitive season here, we were able to have our first preceding offseason, which for us, was extremely important in continuing to build on the core values and pieces that we believe are important to be competitive at this level," head coach Nick Bochette said. "Our student-athletes have continued to work tirelessly, for themselves, and for one another, striving for a new definition of success. What we are after more than anything else is our ability to improve collectively in a supportive atmosphere and with that, success will follow."

This year's squad is captained by graduate student Kamryn Stablein and junior Roisin McGovern, a veteran duo who embody those values.

Stablein joined the Owls in 2020 after a two-year stint at University of Delaware. The standout goalkeeper made her mark immediately, both on and off the field. In just two seasons with the Owls, Stablein has recorded 148 saves, already sitting at No. 10 in Temple women's soccer history. Aside from her statistical success, Stablein has captained the Owl squad three-times in her three-year career, a notable accomplishment.

McGovern, a native of Dublin, Ireland, enters her third season on North Broad. As a rookie, McGovern started in all 10 games of the condensed 2020 season. The defender notched two goals, including the equalizer in the draw against East Carolina (2/28) and the first goal in the 2-0 win over Tulsa (3/28). McGovern was recognized as AAC Rookie of the Week twice after these showings. With one season under her belt, McGovern returned for the Owls in 2021, helping to quarterback the defensive unit. She started in all 16 games, clocking 1401 minutes and netting one goal in the match against Tulsa (3/30).

Alongside the captains, the Owls bring back two talented fifth years who will be integral to the team's success. Gabriela Johnson and Emily Kavanaugh will be a driving force for the Owl offense, showing tenacity and consistency around the goal. Johnson has totaled 27 points in her career on 10 goals and seven assists, which included a five goal and two assist performance as a rookie in 2018.

Kavanaugh, who joined the squad in 2020 had a breakout season in her second year on North Broad, recording seven goals and one assist for a team-leading 15 points. Her efforts earned her Offensive Player of the Week Honors and First Team All-Conference recognition, only the second player in Temple women's soccer history to earn the post season honor.

Moa Andersson will also prove to be a key player for Temple, returning in 2022 for her sophomore season. The Valbo, Sweden native provided consistency in the midfield for the Owls, playing in 15 games with 14 starts, the most minutes of any true freshman on the squad. Andersson was named to the AAC All-Rookie team at the conclusion of her freshman debut.

Katie Coritz, a new face in the City of Brotherly love, but a veteran on the pitch looks to add a new element to the defense. Coritz, a transfer from Columbia University joins the Cherry and White for her fifth year. Despite the cancellation of the 2020 and 2021 season due to COVID-19, Coritz made her mark early, playing in all 16 games as rookie, helping to produce five shutouts and adding an assist in her first start against Brown (9/21). As a sophomore, Coritz saw action in two games after battling injury.
