- Emily Kavanaugh has notched the lone goal of 2022, as she netted a header in the 63rd minute of the Maryland matchup off a goalie deflection. - The matchup against Temple will serve as the season opener for the Quakers, and the first game for head coach Krissy Turner. Turner joined the staff in 2022 after a 24-year stint at Monmouth, where she clinched 10 regular season championships and 8 NEC Championships in her tenure.
- Last year, Penn went 9-5-2 (3-4-0 IVY), posting conference wins over Cornell, Dartmouth, and Yale. One of Penn's two draws came to Temple in their season opener, where the Quakers and the Owls stayed at a 1-1 deadlock throughout the duration of double overtime.
- Sizzy Lawton and Lauren Teuschl return for Penn this year as valuable helpers to the Quaker offense, dishing out seven assists each, while both adding three goals in 2021 to tie for second on the squad in the point category.
