The Owls
  • In the Owls fifth straight road matchup on Sept. 8, the Cherry and White recorded their fourth draw of 2022, tying an unbeaten Drexel squad, 0-0 in a hard-fought battle. The match was highlighted by a seven-save performance from goalkeeper Kyla Burns
  • With this, Burns advanced to 35 saves on the year for a .795 save percentage, earning AAC Goalkeeper of the Week honors for her efforts.
  • Prior to Drexel, the Owls recorded another draw against Rider in a 0-0 competition, while also falling to No. 9 Rutgers earlier in the week.  Burns had yet another standout performance in both matches, grabbing 19 total saves between the two. Prior to this, Burns was awarded AAC Weekly Honor Roll recognition for her efforts after earning a clean sheet in the Penn matchup on Aug. 26, the first conference award of her career.
  • Emily Kavanaugh notched the lone goal of 2022 after netting a header in the 63rd minute of the Maryland matchup off a goalie deflection.
Scouting the Golden Hurricane
  • The Golden Hurricane enter the matchup with a 4-3-1 record, posting their most recent win over Arkansas Pine-Bluff on Sunday, Sept. 11, downing the Golden Lions, 7-0 in their most dominant showing of the season. Tulsa previously earned wins over Mid-America Christian (3-0), Missouri State (3-2), and Central Arkansas (1-0).
  • Madison Tokarchik has headlined the Golden Hurricane offensive efforts this year, leading the team in goals with four, while tying Quinn Turner as the team point leader. Turner had a breakout game against Arkansas-Pine Bluff, netting three goals and adding two assists for an eight-point single game performance.
