Men’s Soccer Blanked by UCF

PHILADELPHIA – The Temple men's soccer team (2-3-2, 0-1-0 AAC) fell to the UCF Knights (4-1-0, 1-0-0 AAC) 4-0 Saturday night. This was the conference opener for both teams.
How it Happened
> In the first minute of the match, Temple scored on a run to the goal, but it was called back on an offsides.
> UCF scored the first tally shortly after a save from Temple keeper Micah Ramirez.
> In the 26th minute, Chaim Roserie fired a shot on goal that was saved by UCF. The Knights scored their second less than a minute later.
> The Owls came out firing in the second frame, with Ferran Vera Filella ringing a shot off the post after beating the keeper and Mike Eijgendaal having a shot go wide leading to a corner.
> Neither side had a shot on target from the 48th to the 84th minute.
> The Knights scored twice in the final 10 minutes to put the final tally at UCF 4, Temple 0.

> Sophomore Daniel Moya made his first career start.
> Xavier Rimpel saw his first action of the season.
> Three yellow cards were issued in this match. Two were pulled on UCF and one on Temple.
