TAMPA, FL - The Temple men's soccer team (2-4-2, 0-2-0 AAC) lost to the USF Bulls (2-3-2, 1-0-1 AAC) on Saturday night. It was Temple's first road match in nearly a month after four straight games at home.

How it Happened
> Temple's Lleyton Imparato had the first shot of the match in the 9th minute.
> The two sides traded shots over the next ten minutes, but neither side was able to find its mark.
> In the 21st minute, Temple forward Sean Karani scored his second goal of the season to put the Owls up 1-0. Sawyer Koza worked his way into the corner and lobbed a ball towards the front of the box where it found Karani. Karani then used a stutter-step fake to freeze the defense and get open for an easy goal.
> Karani nearly scored again immediately following the goal, but his shot missed the target.
> In the 31st minute, Draven Barnett was handed his second yellow card and was ejected from the match to put the Owls down a man for the remainder of the contest.
> Micah Ramirez opened the second with two saves on the first two USF shots, but the Bulls broke through to tie the match up in the 69th minute (1-1).
> Xavier Rimpel had a quality chance in the 69th minute in the second after USF scored, but the Bulls' keeper got a finger on the goal to save the shot by a hair and keep things even.
> South Florida scored again in the 74th minute. Temple attempted to rally late but was only able to get one shot on goal. USF took the game by a final tally of 2-1.

Game Notes
> Karani's goal ties him for the team lead (2).
> Koza's assist was the first of his career.
> Eight cards were pulled in this match, six on Temple and two on USF. Barnett's red card means he will miss Friday's match at SMU.

From the Coach
"We competed exceptionally well, but when you have to play a man down for that amount of time it's a very difficult task. On the road as well, we made this game more difficult than we needed it to be." - Head Coach Brian Rowland
