Aleah Nelson Named to AAC and Big 5 Honor Roll

PHILADELPHIA – Temple guard Aleah Nelson has been named to the American Athletic Conference and Big 5 Weekly Honor Roll for the week of 1/30. This is the fourth time she has been honored by the Big 5 and the fifth time she has been recognized by the AAC this season.
Nelson averaged 23.0 ppg, 4.0 apg, and went a perfect 12-12 from the line while leading the Owls to two key victories to move the team back to .500 in conference play (4-4). Nelson scored 18 and passed for five assists in Wednesday's Road victory over Tulane. She followed up her performance with 28 points and three assists in another win over UCF on Saturday. Her 28 points are the second most any Owl has scored this season in a single game.
Temple returns to action this Wednesday as the Owls host Witchita State for Girls and Women in Sports Day (7 p.m./ESPN+/Varsity Network App). Tickets are available for purchase at Owlstix.com.
