Zepeda Named AAC Rookie of the Week

The freshman scored his first career goal last week at Charlotte.
IRVING, Tex.- Temple men's soccer freshman Juan Zepeda has been named American Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week, as announced by the league on Monday. Zepeda scored his first career goal in the Owls' 3-1 loss to Charlotte last Friday.
Zepeda is the third Temple player to garner weekly recognition this season, joining Nikolai Zapolskikh and Flannan Riley, and is the first to be named a player of the week by the AAC. His goal raised his season point total to three, tying Felix Ewald for the team lead.
Zepeda and the Owls will be back in action at home this Wednesday when they host FAU at 7:00pm.
