Women's Soccer Heads to North Carolina to Play Against ECU on Thursday Night

GREENVILLE, NC. - The Temple women's soccer (2-7-3, 0-3-0 AAC) team will travel to North Carolina on Thursday evening to play against ECU (7-2-3, 2-0-1 AAC). This marks the Owls' fourth conference game of the season.

Scouting Temple
- The Owls fell to the Charlotte 49ers 3-0 last Thursday night, generating six shots and three corner kicks. Temple stands at a conference record of 0-3-0 AAC. 
- Beky Myers is the team's leading goal-scorer (3). Nicole Sweeney trails with two. 
- Jessica Carrieri, Fiona Kilian, and Lena Stein have each assisted once throughout the past twelve games. 
-  Phoebe Hollin has kicked 51 corner kicks for Temple. 
- Jessica Wallace has logged 1080 minutes on the pitch as an outside back for the Cherry and White. 
- Freshman, Tamsin Bynoe, has played 180 minutes in the past two games. Bynoe has recorded 46 saves throughout the season thus far. 

Scouting ECU
- The ECU Pirates stand at a record of 7-2-3.
- ECU finished ninth in the AAC last season, and opened the 2023 season with a 0-2 loss against the University of Florida.
- The team returns, senior goalkeeper, Maeve English, who has logged 1074 minutes for the Pirates thus far this season. She has made 33 saves. 
- Sydney Schnell, a senior forward, also returns for the Pirates. Schnell has recorded three goals and two assists this season. She has played 850 minutes.

Series History
The matchup between the Owls and the Pirates marks the eighth time the teams will play one another in program history. The last time the two teams played each other was in 2022, when Temple fell to ECU 2-1 during conference play in late October.
