Ewald Scores Twice, Owls Win First of Season

Bryan Green earns first win as Temple head coach.
PHILADELPHIA - The Temple men's soccer team claimed their first win of the season with a 3-0 triumph over FAU on Wednesday night at the Temple Sports Complex. Felix Ewald scored twice and Aaron Markowitz scored once to lead the Cherry and White. The win was the first for Bryan Green as Temple head coach.
How it Happened
> Temple controlled the offense early, taking the first three shots of the game before Markowitz found the net for his first goal of the season. Juan Zepeda picked up an assist.
> Ewald scored with 90 seconds left in the first off an assist from Ferran Vera Filella.
> Ewald scored again in the 58th minute on his second shot attempt of the game.
> The Temple defense held FAU without a shot over the final 30:07.
