Football to Host Memphis in Season Finale

THIS WEEK
Temple returns to Lincoln Financial Field for its season finale against Memphis on Black Friday, November 24. The game is set to kick off at 12 p.m. ET and will air on ESPN and 97.5 The Fanatic.
LAST WEEK
The Owls lost their final road game of the 2023 season at UAB by a score of 34-24. The Owls led at the end of the first quarter and halftime, while entering the fourth quarter tied at 17-17 in a back-and-forth affair with the Blazers.
History was made along the way, as TE David Martin-Robinson set a new program record for most career receptions by an Owls tight end. QB E.J. Warner threw for 323 yards and two touchdowns, tying P.J. Walker's record for most career 300-yard passing games by a Temple quarterback (6).
WR Dante Wright stood out for the Owls, recording his best day of his Temple career. The redshirt-junior recorded six catches for 146 yards and one touchdown. His 71-yard touchdown reception in the first quarter was the second longest play of Temple's 2023 season.
On defense, four Owls recorded eight or more tackles on the day, including LB Yvandy Rigby who eclipsed the 200 career tackle mark. Defensive linemen Jerquavion Mahone and Conlan Greene both recorded sacks.
SENIOR DAY
Temple's season finale against Memphis will serve as an opportunity to honor 14 of the team's graduating seniors. The list of seniors to be honored prior to kickoff includes WR Amad Anderson Jr., SAF Elijah Clark, SAF Tywan Francis, LB Jacob Hollins, LB Layton Jordan, DL Jerquavion Mahone, TE David Martin-Robinson, QB Quincy Patterson, K Camden Price, LB Yvandy RIgby, OL Rich Rodriguez, TE Jordan Smith, and DL Lancine Turay.
LAST TIME VS. MEMPHIS
The last time Temple played Memphis was in the Week 5 conference opener of the 2022 season. The Tigers were victorious 24-3, behind a stout defensive effort. WR Jose Barbon led the Owls' efforts with 134 receiving yards.
LAST TIME VS. TEMPLE AT LINCOLN FINANCIAL FIELD
The Owls and Tigers last met a Lincoln Financial Field in Week 5 of the 2021 season. Temple won 34-31, after overcoming a 17-0 deficit midway through the game. WR Amad Anderson Jr. recorded 108 receiving yards and the go-ahead touchdown that sealed the game for Temple. LB Yvandy Rigby recorded eight tackles, including a crucial forced fumble at the one-yard line that kept the Tigers out of the end zone.
