Owls' Offensive Tandem Named Men's Soccer All-AAC

IRVING, Tex.- Felix Ewald and Juan Zepeda have both been named to the AAC All-Conference Second Team, announced by the league on Wednesday. Zepeda was also named All-Rookie.
The Owls placed multiple players on all-conference teams for the first time since the Spring 2021 season.Â
Ewald led the Owls in all three majpr offensive categories during his first year with the squad. He ranked fourth in the league in goals (seven) and points (19) and was tied for third in assists (five). He was twice named AAC Offensive Player of the Week and scored multiple goals in a game twice. His five points on October 27 against Tulsa were a career high and the most by an Owl this season.
Zepeda's three goals, two assists, and eight points all ranked second on the team. All three of his scores and seven of his eight points came during conference action.
Ewald and Zepeda combined for seven goals and five assists in October, a month that saw the Owls with three times and add in a tie. The two forwards combined to score or assist in all six games in the month.
