HILTON HEAD, S.C. - Graham Chase led the Owls on Day One at the 18-team Wexford Intercollegiate. Chase sits tied for 25th among the 90-man field with the Owls in 13th overall as a team at the two-day tournament held at the 6,913-yard par 72 Arnold Palmer Signature Course.

Recapping the Day
> Chase started off well, going two-under par (-2) through the first 12 holes. He ended the round shooting a 74. His second round resulted in the same score as the first, with the Owls co-captain shooting a 74, making him +4 for the day.
> Conor McGrath bounced back after a rough eighth hole, recording three birdies, while shooting 78 in round one. The co-captain had an even second round, recording three birdies, three bogeys, shooting a 72, making him +6 for the day.
> Joey Morganti led the Owls with four birdies in round one, posting a 75. His second round was middle of the pack, shooting a 77, making him +8 for the day.
> Ethan Whitney and Andres Aranguren each carded 86s in the first round. Aranguren had a much better second round, recording four birdies (three consecutive), shooting a 73, making him +15 for the day. Whitney also improved in his second round, shooting a 76, making him +17 for the day.

The Field
> Francis Marion leads the field with a combined 581 strokes. USC - Aiken is just one stroke behind the leader with 582. Richmond is in third with 586. The Owls are 26 strokes off the pace with 607.
