Laura Nicholson Named AAC Track Athlete of the Week

PHILADELPHIA – Junior Laura Nicholson has been named the American Athletic Conference Women's Track Athlete of the Week after an impressive performance this past weekend at the Temple Invite. She is the first Temple athlete to win track athlete of the week since Grace Moore in March of 2021.
Friday evening at the Temple Sports Complex, the Cork, Ireland native finished first in the 1500m run by a margin of 28 seconds. She clocked a time of 4:15.89, breaking her personal best by over 5 seconds and setting a school mark in the event. The previous school was held by Millie Howard (4:16.81).
Temple returns to the track on Friday, Apr. 14 at Princeton's Larry Ellis Invitational.
