No. 8 Men’s Tennis Defeated by No. 1 Memphis in AAC Tournament

ORLANDO, FL – No. 8 Temple men's tennis team (19-5, 1-0) had its spring season come to an end on Friday morning, April 21 after losing to No. 1 Memphis (13-6) by a final of 4-2 in the opening round of the tournament.

NOTES:
  • Temple started off the day with the 1-0 lead after Thibault Frumholz and Leo Raquin stayed perfect 11-0 in the top spot of doubles  by defeating Memphis' David Stevenson and Jeremy Taylor 6-3.
  • Jeremy Taylor came back to finish his singles match first, defeating Thibault Frumholz in the fifth position to tie the match at 1-1.
  • Leo Raquin then defeated Oscar Cutting from the second spot to pick up Temple's second and last point of the afternoon. The victory gives Raquin his 18th win from the second position all spring.
  • Memphis went on to win three straight singles matches to claim the fourth and winning point, advancing to the next round in the AAC Tournament.
