Men's Crew Races at Bergen Cup

PHILADELPHIA - #20 Temple Men's Crew returned to action Saturday as they raced in the Bergen Cup City Championships against city rivals, #15 Drexel, #23 La Salle, and St. Joseph's. The Owls were tested once again as they faced two more ranked opponents in their final race before competing at the Dad Vail Regatta.

RACE RESULTS

>The Varsity Eight finished in third place behind Drexel and La Salle with a final time of 5:27.9
>The Second Varsity Eight finished first with a time of 5:36.2 over second-place La Salle by two seconds.
>In the Third Varsity Eight race, Temple finished second behind Drexel and beat out St Joe's with a final time of 5:48.9
>Temple's Freshman Eight defeated the Dragons with a final time of 5:43.2 by eight seconds.
>Temple's Freshman Four finished third behind Drexel's A and B boats with a final time of 6:38.3.

NEXT UP

Temple will be racing in the Dad Vail Regatta on May 12th-14th on the Cooper River in Pennsauken, N.J.

"We had some great racing from a few of our crews and opportunities for improvement among others. But It was great to celebrate the intersection of Academics and Athletics as well as the celebration of past Temple Crews in our baoat dedicaitons today. I have no doubt that we are in a good plce in terms od Dad Vail success!" said Head Coach Brian Perkins.
