Men’s Soccer Signee Andrew Kempe Selected for Bermuda U-23 Team

HAMILTON, Bermuda – Andrew Kempe, a member of Bryan Green's first recruiting class as Temple men's soccer head coach, has been selected to represent his home nation of Bermuda at the 2023 NatWest Island Games located in in Guernsey, Channel Islands. The goalkeeper arrives at Temple after transferring from Dickinson College. Kempe will suit up for the 23 and under (U-23) team.
The Island Games are a global sporting event bringing together over 2000 athletes from islands around the world. The event is normally competed every two years, however the 2021 edition has been delayed to 2023 due the Covid-19 pandemic. Bermuda's U-23 squad will play in Group C, the match schedule is below:
Kempe brings starting experience from both the University of Rhode Island and Dickinson College to Temple. Last season, Kempe started all 17 games for Dickinson recording a GAA of 1.69 and a save percentage of .701. The Owls will begin the regular season with fixture at Monmouth on Aug. 24.

- Sunday, July 9, 2023, versus Froya, kick-off is at 5:30AM
