7.20.23 | Men's Basketball
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) has announced the 2022-23 NABC Honors Court and the Team Academic Excellence Awards, recognizing men's collegiate basketball student-athletes and teams in all NCAA divisions and the NAIA, who excelled in academics during the past season. Four members of the 2022-23 men's basketball team were among those tabbed for the individual honor while the program earned the team award.
The Team Academic Excellence award recognizes outstanding academic achievement by a team with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or better for the 2022-23 season. Institutions in the NCAA, NAIA and two-year colleges must count the grade point averages of all men's student-athletes on the basketball roster during the 2021-22 season.
The NABC Honors Court highlights the talents and gifts that these men possess on the court and the hard work they exhibit in the classroom. In order to be named to the Honors Court, a student-athlete must meet a high standard of academic criteria.
