Muller Named Offensive Player of the Week, Frey Named to Honor Roll

NEW YORK, N.Y. - After going 2-0 to open the 2023 campaign, the Temple field hockey team had two players earn weekly conference honors. Tess Muller was named the Offensive Player of the Week while Molly Frey was named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll, the first league honors of the season.
Muller scored two goals over the weekend, both of which were game-winners, and assisted on the first goal against Bucknell. The Naarden, Netherlands native fired six shots, putting two on target and converting both shots on goal.
Frey allowed two goals and posted 10 saves on the weekend, including six against Bucknell to tie for her career high. The Eagleville, Pa. stopped a penalty stroke against La Salle and had a 0.833 save percentage on the weekend.
The Owls will return to North Broad for a pair of home games, facing Yale and No. 6 Virginia to open September play.
