How It Happened

Temple struck first with 7:27 remaining in the opening quarter on its second penalty corner of the afternoon. Kerkhof inserted the ball to Lassalle, who settled it at the top of the circle for Magro. The sophomore stepped into the shot and drove it into the cage for her seventh goal of the season.

New Hampshire answered with 13:33 remaining in the second quarter. Off a penalty corner, Addison MacNeil inserted to Louette Petiet, who set the ball for Mckenna Nelson to finish and tie the game at 1-1.

The Owls regained the lead with 4:32 remaining before halftime. Kerkhof inserted another penalty corner to Lotje Aalderink, who provided the stop for Lassalle. The senior fired from the top of the circle and found the back of the cage for her second goal of the season.

New Hampshire responded again with 1:53 left in the half. Sophie Godwin inserted a penalty corner to Petiet, who set up Becky Ward for the equalizer to send the teams into halftime tied at 2-2.

Temple controlled the third quarter, holding New Hampshire without a shot while generating four attempts. Wildcats goalkeeper Kerigan Ross stopped chances from Rozlyn Maciejewski and Kathryn Gauvin to keep the game even.

Neither side broke through in the fourth quarter. Lise Korver put Temple's lone shot of the period on goal with 3:42 remaining, while the Owls' defense limited New Hampshire to three attempts.

Lepore made the first save of overtime, turning away MacNeil with 13:08 remaining. Temple later generated three shots off a penalty corner, including an attempt from Riley Gallagher that Ross stopped. Magro added another shot on goal with 40 seconds remaining, but Ross made the save to keep the game tied.

Magro opened the shootout with a goal before Abigail Johnson answered for New Hampshire.

Lassalle converted Temple's second attempt, and Lepore followed with a stop on MacNeil.

After Ross denied Kathryn Gauvin, Lepore stopped Elina Muijskens.

Uezbe then converted Temple's fourth attempt before Lepore turned away Julianna Casucci to secure the win.
