9.22.23 | Women's Basketball
PHILADELPHIA - The American Athletic Conference has announced its 2023-24 women's basketball schedule today. For the first time, the conference will play an 18 game slate instead of the 16 game schedule of years past. The AAC has added six new members this season, with Charlotte, FAU, North Texas, Rice, UAB, and UTSA joining the conference. Broadcast information and game times will be released at a later date.
The conference slate will begin with new foes UTSA and North Texas paying a visit to Liacouras Center on December 30, and January 2, respectively. It will be the first time the Owls have played either opponent. The Owls will then embark on a two game road trip to visit Tulsa (Jan. 6) and Wichita State (Jan. 9). Temple will play a pair of games on back-to-back Sundays with matches against Memphis on Jan. 14 and Charlotte on Jan. 21. The first month of the year will be rounded out with a pair of trips to SMU (Jan. 24) and Tulane (Jan. 28). The Owls will face Wichita State in Philadelphia on Jan. 31.
Moving into February, the Cherry & White play at Charlotte on Feb. 4. Temple will return to North Broad to host reigning regular season champion South Florida (Feb. 10) before heading back on the road to face UAB on Feb. 14. Tulane will come to Philly on Feb. 19 to preface a two game road trip to the Lone Star State where the Owls will square off against conference newcomers UTSA (Feb. 22) and Rice (Feb. 25). Tulsa will visit Liacouras on Feb. 28 prior to hitting the road one final time to face AAC reigning champion East Carolina (Mar. 3). The season concludes with a battle of the Owls against FAU on Mar. 6.
