Owls Score First Point of Conference Play with Draw vs. UAB

PHILADELPHIA- The Temple men's soccer team got on the board in conference play, picking up their first point in AAC action with a 2-2 draw on a rainy Saturday night against UAB. Felix Ewald and Lleyton Imparato both scored for the Owls, with an assist coming from Xavier Rimpel.
How it Happened
> The Blazers struck first with a pair of goals in quick succession in the first half. Both goals were scored in the 14th minute.
> After three unsuccessful shot attempts, Temple got on the board with a goal from Ewald, the first in his Temple career. He was assisted by Rimpel, who recorded his second helper of the season.
> Imparato tied the game in the 38th minute, bending a corner kick around the reach of the UAB goalkeeper for his first career score.
> Both teams played to a scoreless second half. They combined for just nine shots in the final 45.

> Temple's seven goals this season have been scored by seven different players, all underclassmen. Both Ewald and Imparato scored their first goals as Owls.
