Temple is looking for their first win of 2023

PHILADELPHIA- The Temple men's soccer team will wrap up its two-game homestand when they host American on Friday afternoon at the Temple Sports Complex. The Owls are still looking for their first win of 2023 after falling to St. Joseph's on Tuesday.

Temple is 0-1-2 to start the season, with ties against Lehigh and Monmouth and the loss to St. Joe's. They have scored two goals and allowed four in three games.

Gudmundur Neilsson netted the Owls' second goal of the year on Monday, the first of his young Temple career. His goal came off an assist from Xavier Rimpel, the first helper of the year for the Owls.

Nikolai Zapolskikh is coming off his first career weekly award, having been named Philly Soccer Six Defensive Player of the Week on Tuesday. He scored the Owls' lone goal against Lehigh last Monday and anchored Temple's strong defense in the first two games.
