Women’s Rowing Announces 2024 Spring Schedule

PHILADELPHIA — Temple women's rowing head coach Rebecca Grzybowski today announced the team's 2024 spring schedule. The Owls are set to compete in seven regular season competitions before heading to the American Athletic Conference Championships in Oak Ridge, Tennessee in early May.
"We have been leaning into new aspects of our training and racing this year and can't wait to put it to the test on the racecourse this spring," Grzybowski said. "Go Owls!"
Temple kicks off the season on Saturday, March 16 with a scrimmage against Rutgers in New Brunswick, N.J.
The medal season begins for the Owls with the Doc Hosea Regatta on the Cooper River on March 30. The regatta is the first of two competitions on the Camden waterfront this season for Temple.
Up next, the Owls return to the water for a matchup against the Delaware Blue Hens on April 6.
On the weekend of April 12, Temple will travel to Washington, D.C. for the George Washington Invite. The competition is a two-day event.
Temple will stay close to home on April 27, competing at the Kelly Cup on the Schuylkill River.
The Owls ramp up the competition into May, competing at the two-day Women's Sprints in Worcester, Massachusetts on May 4-5.
The final regular season competition of the spring season will take place on the Cooper River. Temple will compete in the historic Dad Vail Regatta on May 10-11.
Upon the conclusion of the regular season, the Owls will travel to Oak Ridge, Tennessee for the AAC Championships. The conference championships begin on May 8 and conclude on May 12.
This year's NCAA Championships will take place on Lake Harsha in Clermont County, Ohio. The competition will begin on May 28 and a champion will be crowned on June 2.
The Owls are coming off a competitive fall season in which the team competed in four competitions. Last spring, Temple placed fourth as a team at the AAC Championships and saw its Varsity 8 earn a spot on the podium with a third-place finish.
