Dr. Sander Invitational Schedule Results

NEW YORK, N.Y. — The Temple women's track & field team is set to compete at the Dr. Sander Invitational hosted by Columbia at The Armory in New York City. The two-day event is set to begin at 9 a.m. on Friday and 8:30 a.m. on Saturday.

The Dr. Sander Invitational is the second of three straight meets for the Owls in New York City.

Last Time Out

The Owls traveled to Staten Island, New York to compete at the Villanova Invitational at the Ocean Breeze Track & Field Complex. Temple saw five podium finishes and four personal records.
In the high jump, Amira Green cleared 1.70 meters (5' 7") to place first overall in the event. Green currently ranks third in the American Athletic Conference in the high jump. Nicole Castor placed third in the event, clearing 1.60 meters (5' 3"). She currently ranks seventh in the AAC.
Inara Shell won the long jump, leaping 5.89 meters (19' 4"). Shell's mark, which was just .01 meters off a personal record, ranks her fourth in the conference in long jump. Obiamaka Igwenagu earned a third-place finish with a jump of 5.61 meters (18' 5").
Allie Riches recorded another podium finish in pole vault, clearing 3.40 meters (11' 2") to place second.
Elsa Chan placed fourth in the 3,000, clocking in at 10:05.56.
Temple's 4x400 meter relay team put together a strong effort, placing third in their heat and fifth overall with a time of 3:57.79.

Previewing the Owls

Green and Castor will look to continue their momentum in the high jump. In the pole vault, Cierra Crane and Alize White Vega will represent the Owls. Shell and Igwenagu will both compete in the long and triple jump.
In the sprints, Nya Browne, Madison Trout, and Allyson Metzger will compete in the 60 meters. Browne will also run in the 60-meter hurdles. Browne will join Chidumga Nkulume, Jade Pope, and Lauren Greig in the 200 meters. Pope, Nkulume, Greig, and Laila Cottom are set to compete for Temple in the 400.
Dominyka Petraskaite will race the 800 meters. Emma-Kate Watt will compete in the 3,000 meters and Delilah Ayan will run the 5,000 meters.
Temple's 4x400 meter relay team will consist of Nkulume, Pope, Greig, Cottom, and Eyota Bey.
