Aleah Nelson Earns Big 5 Co-Player of the Week

PHILADELPHIA – For the second time this season and fourth time in her career, Temple guard Aleah Nelson has been named Big 5 Player of the Week. She shares the award with Talya Brugler of Saint Joseph's.
Nelson had perhaps her best week of the season. The guard scored 20 points in Tuesday's game against North Texas to go with four rebounds, three assists, and three steals. She followed up her performance with a game-high 17 points in Saturday's win over Tulsa. Nelson also tied a season-high with six rebounds contributing to 51 team rebounds, the most Temple has had since 2/2/22 against Wichita State. Nelson now stands only 35 points from becoming only the 10th player in Temple women's basketball history to reach 1500 points.
The Owls will be back in action tomorrow night at 7 p.m. at Wichita State. The game will stream on ESPN+ and The Varsity Network App.
