Women’s Soccer Travels to Houston To Face Rice Thursday Night

PHILADELPHIA - The Temple women's soccer team is set to take on Rice in an AAC matchup this Thursday evening in Houston, Texas, with kickoff scheduled for 7:00 P.M. (ET)
Scouting Temple
- Sophomore Shari Atkins leads the team with three goals and eight points, achieving career highs in both shots and shots on goal this season.
- In their last match against Tulsa, the Owls set a season-high ten shots on goal and four corner kicks.
- Captain Phoebe Hollin remains a key player on defense making crucial clears as a center back, she has started every game and has played every minute.
- Leah Chancey was named the AAC Offensive Player of the Week in early September and currently leads the team with eight goals.
- Faith Hutchins has recorded five clean sheets on the season.
- Rice has registered 69 corner kicks in 12 games.
This matchup marks the second meeting between the two teams, with their first contest taking place last year.
