PHILADELPHIA - Despite a strong effort, the Temple women's soccer team fell to No. 16 Memphis on Thursday night, 4-0. This marked the first of two matches in four days for the Owls, as they will travel on Sunday to face South Florida.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Tamsin Bynoe made her presence in goal known early, with two saves in the first three minutes.
TU's offense gained momentum with shots from Phoebe Hollin and Carly Steinberg in the 31st and 32nd minutes, respectively.
The Owls went on a run between the 51st and 55th minutes, with shots from Gabby Oudin, Caroline Oestergaard and two more from Carly Steinberg.

BY THE NUMBERS

Carly Steinberg led the Owls in shots with three. This ties her with Caroline Oestergaard as each have recorded 19 shots this season.
Tamsin Bynoe recorded eight saves in the match. TU currently leads the AAC in saves as a team with 106 this season.
Eight Owls played all 90 minutes, not seeing the bench once. There are currently three players on the team with over 1,000 minutes recorded this season with Phoebe Hollin leading the way with 1,252.

Temple returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 12, traveling south to face South Florida. The action from Corbett Stadium is slated to start at 1:00 p.m.
