TAMPA, Fla. – Temple women's soccer faced another road challenge Thursday night, narrowly losing 1-0 to USF. The match, originally set for Sunday, was rescheduled due to logistical issues caused by Hurricane Milton.

How it Happened

Temple applied early pressure in the first half, securing two corner kicks within the opening 20 minutes.
Starting the game with a defensive focus, the Owls held firm, forcing USF into multiple corner attempts early on.
In the second half, Temple looked to spark their offense around the 70th minute but struggled to find the target, with two shots going wide.
The only goal of the match came in the 85th minute when USF converted a penalty kick, edging a 1-0 lead.

By the Numbers

Goalkeeper Tamsin Bynoe was stellar, making six saves in the first half and totaling 11 saves for the game, fending off 20 shots from USF.
Temple introduced a new formation with five defenders, holding the backline strong throughout the match.
All defensive players, Natalie DeMasi, Julie Jakobsen, Rylie Wilpolt, Caroline Oestergaard and Phoebe Hollin remained on the field for the full 90 minutes, limiting the Bulls to one goal.
