Temple Women’s Soccer Faces UTSA in San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO – The Temple women's soccer team makes its final trip to Texas this season to take on the University of Texas at San Antonio on Sunday afternoon. The Owls aim to secure a victory against the Roadrunners, who joined the American Athletic Conference (AAC) last season along with six other schools.

Scouting the Owls
  • Tamsin Bynoe currently leads the conference with 78 saves, averaging six saves per game. Together with Taylor Vecchione, the duo has amassed a total of 106 saves over 12 games.
  • In conference play, Carly Steinberg stands out as the team leader in shots, registering 10, four of which have been on target.
  • Centerback Phoebe Hollin has logged over 1,000 minutes on the field, leading the team in playing time across 12 games.
Scouting UTSA
  • In their last contest, UTSA drew even against UNC Charlotte in a back and forth defensive battle. 
  • Key bench player, Addy Johnson leads the team in goals with three and has played in 15 games starting in one. 
  • UTSA generated most of their shots in the second half with 127 out of 211 coming from after the break. 
Series History 
This matchup marks the second meeting between the two teams since UTSA joined the conference in July 2023.
