THIS WEEK
Fresh off a bye week, Temple returns home to face Tulsa in its annual homecoming game on Saturday, October 19. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. and will air on ESPN+.

 LAST GAME
The Owls fell short against UConn two weeks ago, 29-20. It was a close game throughout, but a goal line stand from the Huskies on the final two plays, secured them the victory. UConn WR TJ Sheffield led all receivers with nine receptions for 141 yards and a touchdown.

For Temple, the play of the day featured a punt block from Connecticut native LB Antwone Santiago. WR John Adams recovered the loose ball in the endzone, resulting in Temple's first blocked punt for a touchdown since 2018. On offense, junior RB Terrez Worthy had his most impressive performance as an Owl, rushing for 95 yards on 12 carries. Defensively, LB Tyquan King, another Connecticut native, led all players with 15 tackles. Playing in his first collegiate game in his home state, King also forced a fumble that led to a 60-yard field goal from Maddux Trujillo. For Trujillo, it was his second 60+ yard field goal of the season. Only two other kickers in NCAA history can say the same, and Trujillo is the first in 47 years to accomplish the feat.

LAST TIME VS. TULSA
Temple and Tulsa faced off last season at Chapman Stadium, where Tulsa came away with a 48-26 victory. Golden Hurricane QB Cardell Williams had an impressive performance, completing 14 of 17 passes for 244 yards and three touchdowns.

Owls SAF Sam Martin helped keep Temple in the game midway through the 3rd quarter, returning a kickoff 95 yards for a touchdown. Despite the loss, QB E.J. Warner threw for 269 yards and two touchdowns.

LAST TIME VS. TULSA AT LINCOLN FINANCIAL FIELD
The Golden Hurricane defeated the Owls two seasons ago in Philadelphia, 27-16. Tulsa RB Deneric Prince had a night, rushing for 231 yards and scoring both a rushing and receiving touchdown.

For Temple, WR Amad Anderson Jr. led the offense with 112 yards receiving and a touchdown. LB Layton Jordan stood out defensively, recording two sacks and intercepting a pass.

UP NEXT
Temple will travel to Greenville, North Carolina, to face the East Carolina Pirates in another AAC matchup. Kickoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. and will air on ESPN+.
