Men's Soccer Closes Non-Conference Slate Against Mercyhurst

PHILADELPHIA - The Temple men's soccer team will play its second match in four days as the Owls will compete against the Mercyhurst Lakers on Tuesday, Oct. 15, at 5:00 p.m. This is the penultimate home match for the Owls, as they will close out this season's home slate on Oct. 26 against Florida International.

Scouting Temple

This will be the final non-conference match of the season for Temple. TU's non-conference slate has been highlighted by wins against Villanova (Aug. 25) and Akron (Sept. 14).
The Owls are coming off a strong defensive performance against Memphis in a 0-0 draw. Kemali Green anchored the backline, earning AAC Honor Roll.
Flannan Riley is set to start in goal for TU. In his last start, Riley recorded seven saves in Temple's match against South Florida (Oct. 5).

Scouting Mercyhurst

The Lakers enter the match on a three-game winning streak, previously defeating Central Connecticut State, Chicago State and Saint Francis.
Dylan Sumner leads the Lakers' offense. He currently ranks first in the NEC in shots and assists with 30 and five, respectively.
Austin Solomon is in his second season as the head coach of the Lakers. Last season, Mercyhurst recorded a 14-3-1 record, clinching a spot in the PSAC tournament.

Series History against Mercyhurst
This is the first matchup between Temple and Mercyhurst in program history.
