Green and Kempe Earn Philly Soccer Six Honors

PHILADELPHIA - Â Kemali Green was named Philly Soccer Six Defensive Player of the Week, while goalkeeper Andrew Kempe earned a spot on the Philly Soccer Six Honor Roll after a 0-0 draw on Saturday, Oct. 12 against Memphis.
Kemali Green anchored Temple's backline in the Owls' 0-0 draw against Memphis, leading the defense in shutting down eight corner opportunities. His leadership helped keep Memphis scoreless for the first time in conference play and the first time overall since Sept. 5.
Andrew Kempe stood strong in goal for Temple's match against Memphis on Sept. 12, earning his second clean sheet of the season. He previously recorded a shutout against American on Sept. 2. Kempe also made a crucial penalty save in the 29th minute, securing the draw for the Owls.
Temple next travels south to face UAB on Saturday, Oct. 19. The action is slated to start at 8:00 p.m. EST.
