Men's Soccer Heads to UAB for In-Conference Matchup Saturday

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- The Temple men's soccer team will head back on the road this Saturday as TU travels down to Birmingham, Ala. to face UAB on Saturday, Oct. 19, at 8:00 p.m. EST. The Owls are coming off a 2-0 win against Mercyhurst, which featured a strong two-assist performance from Lukas Egarter.

Scouting Temple

Temple has compiled two clean sheets over their last two matches.
TU is coming off a two-goal performance as Nikolai Zapolkikh and Nathan Brown each hit the back of the net. Lukas Egarter had assists on each goal.
Andrew Kempe is set to start in goal for the Owls. TU leads the conference in both saves and save percentage with 65 saves and an average of .790.

Scouting UAB

UAB is coming off of a 1-1 draw against Tulsa. Humphrey Doh scored the lone goal for the Blazers as he co-leads the team in goals alongside Tony Kim and Lucas Rizzo.
In the AAC standings, UAB is in a three-way tie for fifth alongside Florida Atlantic and Tulsa as each team has eight points.
Head coach David Lilly is in his first season leading the Blazers. He previously was the head man at East Tennessee State, accruing a record of 17-11-6 over two seasons.

This is the third total matchup between UAB and Temple, previously drawing twice.
