Women’s Tennis in Action at Cissie Leary Invitational This Weekend

PHILADELPHIA - This weekend, Oct. 4-6, the Temple women's tennis team will be in action for the first time in the fall of 2024 as they travel across the city for Cissie Leary Invitational at Hamlin Outdoor Tennis Center.

SCOUTING TEMPLE

Marianthi Christoforidou: Opened her collegiate career with an 8-6 dual singles record and 16-13 overall, while also achieving 18-14 in doubles with most success alongside Kawaratani.
Thamara Frasser Kawaratani: Posted a 6-4 dual singles record and 10-9 overall, along with a 5-2 dual doubles record, primarily partnering with Christoforidou.
Jessie Zheng: Led the team in doubles with a 21-7 record, while also finishing with a 14-13 singles record.

UP NEXT
The Owls will return to action next weekend, heading to Penn for the ITA Regionals. Tournament play will begin Friday (Oct. 10) and close Monday (Oct.15).
