Second Annual Diamond Dreams Event Scheduled for February 2
12.9.24 | General
Temple Athletics is excited to announce the Second Annual Diamond Dreams: Investing in Women's Sports at Temple event, with an even stronger focus on growing attendance and deepening engagement. The event is scheduled for Sunday, February 2, 2025 from 11:30 AM-1:30 PM in the Science Education and Technology Center on campus.
The goal of the event this year is to expand and solidify lasting support for all women's sports at Temple. In partnership with the Temple Owl Club, an unforgettable afternoon has been planned, filled with camaraderie, nostalgia and a powerful shared vision for the future success of our women's athletic programs.
"As a former field hockey student-athlete at Temple University, it humbles me to be one of the many advocates for women's athletics," Cherifa Nouri-Howarth '98 said. "We as women need to empower each other and strive to advocate for the current and future Owls! We need to cultivate their core values as athletes, being strong, hard working, and multi-talented women that can make a difference in our community."
Following the event, we ask that all join us to cheer on our women's gymnastics team for its Women in Sports match at 2:00 PM inside McGonigle Hall.
"Being a Temple student-athlete shaped my leadership, resilience, and teamwork - skills that have been invaluable in building businesses and mentoring others," former Temple women's rower Kathleen Stengel '98 said. "The lessons I learned on the river taught me discipline and perseverance, which I carry into every endeavor. Diamond Dreams is vital for supporting women student-athletes and highlighting the transformative power of sports in inspiring confidence, strength, and leadership in women."Â
